API SPEC 5L

API SPEC 5L is a pipeline standard of American Petroleum Institute. The purpose of establishing this standard is to provide an applicable standard for petroleum and natural gas industries like gas, water and oil tube. This standard applies to seamless steel pipe and welded steel tube including common port, thread port, socket port and direct stream port of steel pipe and TFL. Although the steel pipe of common port is mainly used for ring butt welding in the site, the manufacturer doesn’t take any responsibility for the welding site.
